An opportunity to work in a ship repair and refit environment
Reporting to the Team Manager, you will be working as part of a multi-skilled team responsible for undertaking a range of repair and maintenance tasks on a variety of Royal Naval Ships.
You must have served and successfully completed a recognised Welding Apprenticeship and have experience of both Manual Metal Arc (MMA) and Metal Arc Gas Shielded (MAGS) Welding Processes using Solid and Flux Cored Wires.
Having worked to Radiographic standards for both processes, Welding Ferrous and Non Ferrous Materials, you will be expected to undertake further training should the need arise for business benefits.
You must be self-motivated, reliable and able to demonstrate good time keeping.
The work is physically demanding and you will need to be a team player to ensure project deadlines are met.
The basic salary is £20,996 with overtime premiums paid after 37 hours, as well as an uplift on shift work.
You will be entitled to 193 Hours Holiday per annum, plus Bank Holidays, along with sick pay and a pension scheme.
