Our client a global telecoms provider require a Web Infrastructure Engineer to join part of their Server Support Team based in their Liverpool office.
The successful applicant will be supporting and problem solving for the web infrastructure, as well as maintaining the progress and delivery of current projects. Successful applicants must have excellent experience of supporting Active Directory infrastructure and MS Exchange 2003. General Network Troubleshooting (IP, DNS, WINS) skills are essential as is in depth knowledge of Windows Web hosting (IIS6) and Windows 2003. Any experience of configuring DMZ environments and firewall rules and load balancing techniques would be an advantage Applicants also must have experience of .NET hosting on 32bit and 64bit architecture, experience of SharePoint portal Server 2003/MOSS 2007 and SQL Server 2000 / 2005 administration. Experience with HP/Compaq Servers, configuration and troubleshooting would be a distinct advantage. It is also desirable that applicants have experience of development approaches for applications development (applications progression from development stage to live and associated server side monitoring techniques). Other desired experience include Tridion CMS, monitoring software (MOM/SCOM), ISA Server 2004, BizTalk Server, mail filtering software (i.e. MessageLabs), knowledge of ITIL framework and experience of fault management systems (i.e. Remedy) This position is on a 6month contract based in Liverpool.
