Description

Our client within the public health sector based in Coventry seeks a Web developer to work on a specific in-house web project. You will be responsible for delivery of in-house components related to Search 2.0, personalisation; fixing bugs as part of production support, support of integration of SOAP APIs arising from procurement of new resources and also work on specification for integration of content using web 2.0. You must have experience in personalised content management systems; highly skilled in and web programming, you will have the experience and in building scalable web applications by consuming SQL databases as well as web services. Frequent travelling to Nottingham and London will be required.

Essential Competencies
•Highly skilled with at least 5 years relevant web development and programming experience
•Excellent Web Design skills
•Ability to create W3C level accessible code
•Excellent knowledge of XHTML/CSS/JavaScript
•Experience of writing cross browser code.
•Excellent knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server applications
•Excellent knowledge of .NET 2.0/ C# 2.0 & ASP.NET 2.0 programming
•Solid understanding of object oriented programming.
•Knowledge of XML, XSL and related technologies.
•Excellent knowledge of the following: RAD / Agile development- FDD, TDD or SCRUM; Web standards, including accessibility standards
•Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, and the ability to work under pressure
•delivery focused; good eye for detail

Desirable Competencies:
•Knowledge of consuming SOAP web services
•MCSD
•Experienced in working within a production support/bug fixing environment
•AJAX ; .Net 3.0; UML
•Knowledge of NHS environment
