Our clients Business Systems Development team are responsible for the development and maintenance of the many systems and applications that enable their One World approach to successfully coordinate the delivery of customer projects in a competitive market. You will be joining a small, highly skilled team supporting critical enterprise business systems used throughout the global business. This is a great opportunity to develop new and existing skills, as you will be involved in varied projects using a broad range of skills and applications.
Successful candidates will work within the existing team to develop and support enterprise business systems used throughout the global company and support underlying databases. Specific responsibilities will include:
•Working within the team to design and build new systems and maintain existing systems.
•Working with users to write specification documentation for new applications.
•Producing design documents and user documentation for new applications.
•Supporting existing business systems dealing with user support requests (customer facing).
•Occasional travel to other sites.
•Providing support for and administer SQL databases.
With a degree in a computer related subject (e.g. Computer Science) or equivalent commercial experience, you should have experience in, and good understanding of, Java, web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and SQL Server. You will be proficient in Windows 2000+, MS Office and have good communications skills (both written & oral) and customer facing skills. A pro-active attitude is essential.
