Objective
To provide front line control of AML warranty expenditure through the assessment of submitted warranty claims from the global Aston Martin Dealer Network covering mainstream and Extra Cover Processing.
Ensure that management is routinely updated with regards to the top warranty concerns in service.
Ensure that the Warranty Claims Processing System is evolved, maintained and functioning efficiently at all times and in line with target process turnaround expectations.
Provide management support, technical advice and workload prioritization for the Warranty team as and when required to maximize Warranty Department effectiveness.
Undertake warranty cost reduction projects in line with senior management cost down targets.
Recover where possible, costs from component Suppliers where contracted liability is accepted.
Manage and deploy a global Dealer Warranty Audit/Counseling and Training function for AML Dealers.
Run in conjunction with the nominated partner organization a global Extra Cover Warranty program
Responsibilities
Manage the Warranty Department team and control all elements of Warranty Administration. Ensure fair and reasonable settlement of warranty claims for AML Dealers globally.
Manage the AML Warranty Audit field team to support the AML Dealer warranty cost control program through a process of:-
oDealer After-Sales Training
oDealer Warranty Counseling
oWarranty Compliance Audit
Supplier Warranty Recovery, ensure that relevant displaced warranty material with a commercial value is returned to the Supplier for inspection. Maximize the potential financial recovery from the Supplier, also fully support the PVT and TVM teams with inspection reports.
Support the Plant Vehicle Teams with accurate warranty data. Consolidate all field data in to a single reporting structure. Develop the warranty system (RADAR project) to support the Dealer network and relevant AML internal customers.
Support the Warranty Quadrant Committee meetings with warranty reports as required. Maintain the Re-acquired Vehicle metrics for North America also the tip level tracker for high customer warranty visits.
Ensure that the compliance reports for TREAD are submitted in line with the reporting schedule. Respond to any NHTSA inquires.
Manage the Warranty Claim VAT recovery process.
Monitor and review all Dealer Warranty Labour Rates on an annual basis.
Maintain and apply Dealer Warranty Policy and Procedures and periodically amend them as required.
Manage the EPRC metric to ensure that North American Emissions reports are accurate and timely.
Create and issue Dealer Warranty Department Policy Letters to communicate business developments
Qualifications/Experience
A minimum of 6 years experience in either the retail Dealer network or an Automotive Manufacturing company having a broad and qualified knowledge of the subject matter in the after sales area.
Degree level or equivalent academic qualifications.
Excellent IT skill across a wide range of systems tools including Six Sigma also excellent analytical skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills having a high degree of confidence to perform the role consistently.
People skills sufficient to effectively manage the Warranty team and cross functionally communicate at all senior levels
An effective self starter with good people skills and empathy with an ability to engage with the Dealer network as all levels, maintaining excellent relationships through efficient working practices
