You will be part of a busy Vibration Test team. The role will centre around testing and assessing vibration levels of aircraft during development and research Flight Trials, together with production and in-service aircraft. Responsibilities will include; assessing Vibration Test requirements, preparing and updating Vibration Test parameter databases, performing aircraft Natural Frequency testing, processing and assessing aircraft Vibration Test data, preparing Vibration Test data to be distributed to Engineering Specialists.
KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
The required skills and experience include the following:
Educated with a Degree/HND in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
Experience of performing aircraft Vibration Testing.
Knowledge of Vibration characteristics of a helicopter.
Knowledge of aircraft or helicopters systems, parameters and operations.
Knowledge of Industry Standards for Vibration characteristics.
Knowledge of aircraft and system Vibration envelope requirements.
Knowledge of Vibration sensors and data transmission.
Knowledge of using and developing Vibration replay and analysis equipment.
Knowledge of Rotor Track and Balance requirements, methods and procedures.
Knowledge of aircraft and component modal dynamics testing.
Knowledge of Vibration laboratory qualification and endurance testing.
Familiar with Microsoft PC packages.
A full Driving Licence.
