We are currently looking for a Vendor Quality Assurance Technologist with previous experience in the food/drink industry to join a global food and drink manufacturer in Hampshire.

Job Summary

The Drinks supply chain is complex and requires a high degree of focus to ensure factory and consumer quality excellence is consistently achieved. This role will lead activities to improve the quality performance and capability of our ingredients supply base and have responsibility for troubleshooting and resolving ingredient quality issues. Whilst working with major players in the food industry, you will maintain and develop high quality drinks ingredients, including auditing and approving new and existing suppliers to our business to ensure leading edge food safety, manufacturing capability and process control.

As part of the role, you will be expected to train, coach and nurture others to continue to support the growth of our high performing team.


Requirements:

Degree level education in food science/technology or related discipline
Experienced third party auditor with excellent audit follow-up.
Sound ingredients development and process commissioning experience
Min intermediate level HACCP qualification and raw material/process risk assessment understanding
Sound microbiological background
Good understanding of the practical application of statistical quality management techniques
Proven track record of supplier management, technical supplier development and supplier auditing
