Description
A talented engineer is required to support their growing vehicle and powertrain simulation software business. You will focus on customer support of software tools for vehicle simulation and engine and aftertreatment simulation and work closely with local business development staff as well as software developers in Austria. Frequent travel in the Detroit metro area and some trips within North America and to Europe are required.
You will be given training after which you will be capable of performing functions such as supporting customers with model setup, execution and analysis, as well as organising and conducting local and customer-site training courses. You will provide business development support (presentations, demonstrations) and be involved in reports and communication of customer feedback to local and company headquarters product management.
Qualified to degree level in an engineering discipline with special consideration to automotive focused degrees

Qualified to degree level in an engineering discipline with special consideration to automotive focused degrees, experience with math-based simulation tools, especially for vehicle and powertrain modeling applications is required. Experience in the automotive industry is essential, as are excellent oral and written communication skills and a ppositive, friendly, customer-focused attitude.
Experience of either vehicle systems modelling, hybrid vehicle principles, Matlab/Simulink, 1D engine cycle simulation modeling, diesel aftertreatment/general reaction chemistry modeling and/or Windows and Linux operating system power-user would be advantageous.
Due to visa restrictions you must be degree qualified in Automotive Engineering or similar and have relevant project experience with an OEM, Engineering Consultancy or Tier 1 or 2 supplier. Due to the high level of work the company is involved in, you must be able to hit the ground running and work to very tight deadlines.
