Our client has been in a leadership position in the fire alarm industry. Today, they are the largest manufacturer of engineered fire alarm systems with over 400 distributors worldwide, and regional support operations on every continent.
Purpose of the Job:
- To comprehensively validate products in accordance with product specifications
- To verify that products are designed in accordance with relevant Standards
Principal Responsibilities:
- Product Validation:
- Validate products in accordance with validation procedures and scheduled activities
- Write validation procedures for new products and update existing procedures depending on changes on existing products
- Update PTR database reporting all issues found during validation of products
- Fill in validation test results sheet and prepare validation review reports
- Explain product issues in validation review meetings
Education and Experience Required:
- HNC/HND or equivalent in an electrical / electronic engineering discipline.
- Minimum 1 year experience within an electronics design / test environment. Fire or Control industry preferred.
Technical Skills & Specific Knowledge Required:
- Fire Systems technical knowledge preferred but not essential
- Experience in working within an ISO9001 framework
- PC literate MS Office main packages (Word, Excel and Powerpoint)
Behavioural Competencies Required:
- Highly self motivated
- High competence in oral and written communication skills
- Ability to manage activities in a technical environment
Language Requirements:
- Fluent English primarily, however additional European language(s) an advantage
