VA/VE PROJECT ENGINEER - Working for a global automotive company, you will co-ordinate the definition of and project manage the introduction of electronic based cost reductions for the VA/VE team.
ROLE: Primary contact for electronic cost reduction projects. Actively investigate, define, and communicate cost reductions. Liaise with all related internal departments, suppliers, and company production facilities. Ensure that all internal engineering and business processes are followed to allow robust implementation of cost reduction projects. Apply project management skills across additional VA/VE projects where required. Liaise with other VA/VE engineers on cross business unit savings. The tracking and reporting of electronics based cost reduction projects.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Degree qualification in an electronics biased discipline, plus experience within the automotive industry. Possess a minimum of 3 years experience within the electronics field, and proven background of project management. Excellent communication skills. Show good knowledge of design, FMEA, validation, and project management processes and techniques. Be willing to travel, both within the UK and abroad.
