You will be based in Coventry working in close partnership with their clients, project managers and technical specialists delivering urban ITS consultancy and engineering design services on a wide range of projects.
Having experience in the provision of consultancy engineering services, you will deliver high quality, traffic operations and technology consultancy services whilst developing, building and maintaining close relationships with their clients, understanding their needs and requirements and turning their ideas into workable solutions. Within the ITS Project Engineer role you will develop new concepts, strategies and approaches for managing the movement of people, good and traffic as well as identifying and assessing a variety of options, ranging from new operational procedures and methods of working to new types of technology, considering the drivers and constraints of the modern transport environment.
With experience in the provision of consultancy engineering services, the generation of ideas and strategies and the analysis and resolution of problems. Degree qualified, or with equivalent experience, you will have good organisational and interpersonal skills together with a logical and pragmatic approach to problem resolution. You will also have with urban ITS infrastructure and systems covering, for example; urban traffic control, traffic signals, variable message signs, car park management, UTMC common database and real time passenger information.
This permanent position starts immediately with a salary of £28k - £40k
