Our client is a key subsidiary of a highly successful international technology design, development and manufacturing organisation whose products encompass a wide and ever expanding range of sensors and sensor solutions for a variety of industrial applications
including automation technology, safety, identification, analysis & process measurement systems.
A company policy of continued product innovation & expansion has created an environment of growth & this resulting role, reporting directly to the UK Managing Director, is designed to support this expansion through taking responsibility for the commercial strategic development of the UK organisation.
A key member of the senior management team, the Sales Manager will lead the development of the sales team (internal & external plus telemarketing), creating & implementing targets to achieve agreed corporate objectives; maintaining market research & development, working closely with the R&D & Technical Product Management teams; analysing & developing strategic pricing agreements.
As a significant aspect of the role is the motivation, monitoring & development of the sales teams, a proven track record in people management is essential, with the associated communication skills & ability to inspire confidence at all levels both within & outside the organisation.
Graduate calibre, the successful candidate is likely to be a Sales Manager with experience in a related industry, ideally sensors, factory automation & modern industrial control systems; with strong strategic, negotiation, & relationship building skills.
In addition, they will be driven by a genuine belief in modern commercial management methods, for example, customer value management; & a motivation to participate in the development of a world-class company.
