We are seeking a Utility Management Consultant who will form part of a specialised team aimed at addressing the needs of utility companies and regulatory organizations within and outside of the UK. You will be expected to address project deliverables such that the needs and the client and company are satisfactorily addressed and as a specialist you will interact with senior staff within client organizations while providing consultancy advice.
The Utility Management Consultant will undertake mandates either as leader or as a member of a team into aspects of Utility Management, assisting with the preparation of bids, providing specialist knowledge and keeping up to date with the latest developments in particular fields, keeping a diary of events, recording and programming time spent on each task and maintain technical records, as well as instigating the authorisation of invoicing and/or payment, when carrying out duties of Project Manager.
You will provide support and assistance to Skill Centre Manager in training staff and must be willing to make the necessary travel, either overseas or within the UK in order to carry out marketing and project requirements. You will also be responsible for ensuring that all duties are carried out according to the companys Quality Systems Procedures, as well as maintaining Corporate Membership of an appropriate leading UK Engineering Institution. An opportunity to directly contribute to business growth through proactive business development will be made available.
Either qualified to degree level in Electrical Engineering or with equivalent experience, you should preferably be a Corporate Member of the Chartered Institute of Engineering and Technology and must have a detailed knowledge of utility management practices with a transmission or distribution utility.

Senior management experience with a utility business operating in a developed regulatory environment is essential, as is awareness of systems and processes that underpin efficient and effective delivery of services and management of assets within a utility environment and an appreciation of information technology and information systems in the context of operational control, management reporting and customer service.
To succeed as Utility Management Consultant, you should have experience of operational arrangement within a transmission or distribution utility as well as the ability to present issues, recommendations and reasoning to senior individuals that operate within regulatory, government, public or private bodies, the ability to manage small multi-discipline group of specialist and projects deliver to time and budget and the ability to identify, engage and deliver new business opportunities. You will be technically accomplished and able to demonstrate technical understanding relating to the persons main area of interest. Short duration overseas travel will be required.
