Description
UAT Software Tester - Wolverhampton - c£15,000 to £17,000 + Bens. A UAT Tester is required for the manufacturing facility of this client in Wolverhampton and reports to the Content and UAT Test Team Leader. The Software Tester ensures that relevant software is available on testing devices, they conduct scripted tests via the user interface and report test results to software developers and Product Leads. Each Software Tester is the Lead Tester for a specific product and in this capacity they write product-specific test plans and scripts and they maintain these to ensure their continued suitability as the product is enhanced. Despite being a Lead Tester for specific product they may be required to test any product according to current testing priorities. The scope includes writing testing plans/scripts, conducting tests and documenting testing outcomes all within tight timeframes and rapid development/ deployment cycles. Other duties include: Write new test plans and test scripts and maintain existing test documentation in order to ensure continued suitability in an evolving environment
Conduct tests on menus, content, software releases and peripheral interfacing software. Identify issues during testing and provide accurate documentation and feedback to software developers and Product Leads. Recommend whether software is fit for release to client. Key Skills/Qualifications - Required General IT knowledge, confidence and literacy (ability to use MS Office, able to install software, copy files, etc.) Knowledge of testing tools & processes
