This well-respected multi-discipline organisation with a number of strategic offices located in the U.K. have an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Transport Planner at Senior or Principal level to join their highly successful Team.
Senior/Principal Transport Planner
This well-respected multi-discipline organisation with a number of strategic offices located in the U.K. have an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Transport Planner at Senior or Principal level to join their highly successful Team, with the capability to evaluate and compare a number of alternative development options and work closely with the Technical Director to provide the basis of evidence for local plan enquiries.
You should hold a B.Eng / B.Sc (or equivalent), or preferably a Masters in Transportation and hold or be near to holding Chartered Status together with a good working knowledge of SATURN. You should have some experience of junction modelling software and previous involvement in transport assessments and travel plans together with good general IT skills, including Word and Excel.
This position offers diverse challenges and duties which include:
Project management of assigned schemes
Design and management of a wide range of transportation studies, including transportation modelling, strategy development, scheme appraisal, public transport studies etc.
Liaison with clients, partners, sub-consultants and teams across other offices.
Leadership and development of the transportation planning team.
Business development supporting the Divisional Director.
Contribution to achievement of the sector business plan.
