Training Manager
The Training Manager will aim to achieve the following outputs:
The most efficient & cost effective way to train the crew and support staff both initially and continuously to ensure skill retention.
The training methods to provide the best opportunities for maximising learning effectiveness whilst maintaining overall system cost effectiveness.
The continued use of selected media to provide distance learning to crew and support staff allowing refresher and continuation training to be undertaken in a timely, cost effective manner.
The Training Manager s responsibilities on a day to day basis are Manage the training development tasks.
Manage all training resource
Manage budget constraints for both Permanent and Subcontract staff.
Provide inputs to mid term & long term forward workload plans,
Ensure work is completed within the agreed costs and programme,
Manage potential risks or failures or deviations
Ensure all Company procedures are met.
Further responsibilities include:
Manage, edit and monitor all training material produced internally or externally by subcontractors.
Ensure that all training material meets the project or contract requirements.
Ensure that the required templates and applicable standards are adhered to.
To identify and evaluate Customers training requirements and approve subsequent documentation
To define and ensure the provision of manpower, materials and facilities to implement contractual product training plans within pre-planned budgets.
Qualifications and/or Skills
Essential: Degree, Diploma or BTEC in Satcoms or Electronic engineering OR alternatively suitable Armed Forces internal Trainer courses eg Operation & Maintenance of Communications equipment.
Desirable:
SATCOM experience and/or Military communications understanding
Previous Experience
Essential:
Experience developing training solutions and managing teams
Working knowledge of Ground Communications Systems and /or telecoms.
Desirable:
Previous experience working on Military programmes
Previous experience of delivering training in the Middle east
Successful candidates will be required to be security cleared prior to appointment.
