Our client is one of the foremost Control & Process Automation suppliers in the industry. An opportunity has arisen for a Training Consultant to join the Training Team. Key responsibilities of this role will include the preparation and presentation to customers of a range of training courses on the company's Process Control products and solutions either at the North West Training Centre or at customer sites throughout the UK. Equally important is the proactive identification of further customer training requirements and the formulation and sale of appropriate training solutions to meet those requirements.
The role involves both the presentation of standard courses and the negotiation, design and delivery of bespoke training programmes. Although most of the training is at the Training Centre, regular travel throughout the UK is required to carry out sales visits and deliver training.
Candidates should be educated to Degree/HND level or equivalent, preferably in a Electrical/Electronic Engineering related topic, and should have sound experience of Process Control systems. Practical experience of designing, commissioning and supporting Process Control systems is required to deliver the requirements of this role. In addition practical experience of working with associated systems such as PLCs, HMI and industrial networking would be beneficial. Candidates should ideally have previous customer training experience within an industrial environment but the enthusiasm to deliver quality-training solutions to our customers will also be a key factor. The successful applicant will display a high level of self-motivation and be willing to both use initiative and accept responsibility. Commercial awareness and a flair for developing and maximising business opportunities should also be evident
