Essential :
Degree, Diploma or BTEC in an Engineering discipline with Teaching/Training specialization.
Proven track record in training analysis, design and delivery for high technology communications systems.
Or be an Armed Forces Trainer/Instructor with suitable experience in training course design.
Trainer - Aerospace Customer Services
The successful Candidate will report to the CSG Functional ILS Manager for welfare and personal development issues and for day to day project work to the Project Support Manager(s).
The Trainer will support the Training manager in adopting a blended training solution to ensure the most efficient & cost effective approach.
Technical tasks/knowledge
Understand: the Systems Approach To Training (SAT), Training Needs Analysis (TNA) methodology
Develop & Deliver: training courses to the target audience, On Job Training (OJT)
Understand: Computer Based Training (CBT), the meaning of Emulation and Simulation
Must have a solid theoretical understanding of at least one of the following
Satellite Communications,
Network Management & Control and Monitoring,
Baseband systems
C & Ku Band Comms systems
TT&C systems
Day to day management tasks
Provide inputs to project progress/design reviews
Final Report containing the Analysis, justifying the recommended training solution
Provide Training deliverables on time & to budget
Qualifications and/or Skills
Essential :

Be confident & experienced to make work related decisions independently.
Comprehensive understanding and ability to interpret and action
Training development specifications, standards, methodologies and terminology as required.
SATCOM experience, Military communications understanding
Previous Experience
Essential:
Must be experienced in the following Shipborne satellite systems, TT&C, Network Management, Control and Monitoring Baseband systems, and IP Networks.
Have the ability to liaise and deal with internal and external customers confidently.
Have a proven track record of managing multiple tasks and the ability to work autonomously within an effective team environment utilising.
Blended Training methodologies - Instructor-led Training (ILT) Web-based Training (WBT). On-Job-Training (OJT), Simulation Training (ST), Emulation Training (ET)
Successful candidates will be required to be security cleared prior to appointment.
