Our client have an international reputation for providing extremely high quality systems and products to the aerospace and defence markets. They have been operating for many years and have a vacancy for a Toolmaker.
The opportunity is to join a global company who value it's staff and the work they do, they are looking for an individual who really takes pride in their work, who can use their skills to ensure minimal downtime by being creative and efficient ensuring all tooling requirements are kept up to date.
In order to be successful in this role as a Toolmaker you will be time served and fully apprentice trained, you will have worked within a busy high precision manufacturing environment previously and will want to really flex your engineering expertise.
You will have knowledge of CNC and conventional machining techniques. To the level of Setter/Operator.
Ideally you will have an appetite for excellence. This will allow you make decisions when the supervisor is not available, you will be able to think on your feet and have excellent knowledge of Jigs and Fixtures.
As a Toolmaker you will have excellent support and freedom to operate and put into practice idea which you think will benefit the company. You may have ideas on how to improve the production, how to make this easier and how to ensure downtime is minimal.
