Description
Our client, a global telecoms company, requires, a Third Line Support Operative to join an existing team supporting the e-mail infrastructure of a gov
rnment end-client in Edinburgh. The successful applicant will be the main technical escalation for e-mail incidents and downtime, providing technical support for e-mail backup, implementation and recovery. You will also be monitoring incident queues with regular updates and escalations, maintaining availability of email systems to minimise downtime and disruption for the customer. Liaising with 2nd line support and with various departments within the client and it's customers. Successful applicants must have experience in supporting Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 and 2003, MS Directory Services, MIME Sweeper, Microsoft Operations Manager 2003, DHCP, DNS, and VB scripting. Experience of working to ITIL standards and understanding of change and incident procedures is important. This is a contract role and the daily rate of pay is negotiable depending upon experience.
