Our client a leading supplier to the Aerospace Industry are looking to appoint a contract Test Technician - Fuel Cells based in Derby
Our client is developing solid oxide fuel cell systems for megawatt scale, stationary power applications.
An opportunity has arisen within the Build & Test team, part of the Development department. We are looking for an electrically trained individual to join the team as a Test Technician, reporting to the Build & Test Team Leader.

An opportunity has arisen within the Build & Test team, part of the Development department. We are looking for an electrically trained individual to join the team as a Test Technician, reporting to the Build & Test Team Leader.
Test operations activities range from long term system and materials development testing to short term fuel cell stack testing.
The technician will support the fuel cell build & test activities and will be actively involved in, assembly and testing of fuel cell components, test rigs, test beds and diagnostic equipment. This position will also support rig installation, improvement and maintenance. The individual will be required to be self-motivated and have a keen and flexible approach.
Practical hands on ability/aptitude for example:
Mechanical & electrical component assembly with.
High attention to detail. Problem solving
Helping develop best practice and then working to it.
Able to work within a dedicated team environment
Experience in a test or fitting role.
Experience with spot welding advantageous.
Competent IT skills for data input, presentation, and report preparation.
HNC or equivalent in an engineering discipline, electrically biased with some engineering experience preferred.
