Test Rig Design Engineer required to provid support to the design engineer/design checker in development of aircraft fuel system and certification activities.

General
The completed test rig will offer Systems designers a full size fuel system mock-up for system performance evaluation, and will house a full set of aircraft fuel system components within representative wing and fuselage structures. Therefore, a key feature of the work will be in providing interfaces between the test rig and all appropriate aircraft components, as well as providing a structural framework on which to mount the test article. The primary tool to be used for this task will be Catia v5 running on either PCs or Unix workstations.

Required Skills.
Experience in the use of Catia V5.
Experience in general/commercial engineering checking.
Experience of designing large-scale structural assemblies and systems interfaces.
Ability to work as part of a team and be proactive.
Familiarity with Windows 2000 and Microsoft Office environment i.e. Word, Excel.

Desirable Skills.
Experience of producing stress calculations using both long-hand techniques and software packages.
Experience of mechanical testing activities.
Familiar with aircraft fuel systems.
Experience of designing vacuum or pressure vessels.
Familiar with hydraulic system design.
Familiar with fluid mechanical instrumentation installation/integration techniques.
Experience of equipment design for operations within Zone 0, 1, and 2 ATEX Hazardous Areas.
