Test Equipment Development Engineer - Senior Engineers within the Test Engineering Department are responsible for the provision of In-Circuit and Functional test equipment that satisfy technical, quality and commercial needs of the business. Functional Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) design/development, ATE platforms including GPIB, VXI, PXI and other well know proprietary hardware platforms, functional and ICT (e.g. Teradyne 18xx series), software skills, typically C, C++, VisualBasic, LabWindows CVI, LabView, to a good standard employing best practice principles and ensuring integrity. High volume electronics manufacturing processes and the integration of 'production test', specifically relating to pcb/module assemblies. In-Circuit Automotive electronics product design, specification and interfacing Senior Engineers report directly or through a Test Development Manager to the Test Engineering Manager and have responsibilities within a portfolio team to a PIM Manager. Prepare technical equipment manual/design file to include equipment drawings, specifications, records of all major design decisions, test results and change requests/authority etc. Write test software (typically C, C++, VisualBasic, LabWindows CVI) to a good standard employing best practice principles ensuring integrity of the test system and of the product.
