TEST ENGINEER / DEVELOPMENT TECHNICIAN – ANTENNA - BUCKS / OXON BUCKINGHAMSHIRE ELECTRONICS

Test Engineer / Development Technician Antenna products - Buckinghamshire / Oxfordshire

This role requires a candidate who has experience in the design and manufacture of RF products, with a solid background in Antenna development for the Mobile Celluar industry or relevant Wireless Comms sector
The ideal candidate will come from an Antenna manufacturer, and have demonstratable experience of contributing to the design, build and test of antenna products. A blend of RF and electro-mechanical skills, and well as a strong knowledge of Antenna theory.

Creating Bills of Materials
Ordering parts
Assembly of low quantities of Antennas
Producing relevant manufacturing documentation (work instructions etc)

A knowledge of Antenna testing
Understand the key contributing factors to:
PIM
Insertion loss
Gain
Beam-Width, Side-lobes etc
Manufacturing techniques
Verification
Testing
Responsible for defining test plans, specifications and methodso Responsible for producing test reports inclusive of findings, recmondations and conlcusions.o Some off site working will be required e.g. for environmental test or to assist with regulatory approval testing and field trials.

Candidate should be educated to a degree level in a RF or Electronics technical discipline

Support Principal Antenna Engineers to develop, build and optimise Antenna solutions Be responsible for build of low volume prototypes of Antennas, ordering components and expediting deliveries to meet project timescales
