Description
Test Engineer
We currently have vacancies for 3 Test Engineers (2 Double Dayshift and 1 Nightshift) within our Test Department.
Applications are invited from Craftsmen/Technicians who are familiar with the companies manufacturing systems and electrical production test methods biased towards AC rotating machines and associated control equipment.
Qualifications/Experience
Minimum qualifications, ONC/HNC in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, although candidates with lesser qualifications but with suitable experience will also be considered.
•Rotating machines/Plant/HV background
•Must be flexible and have practical skills
•Must be prepared for occasional travel to sister companies and customers sites
•Must have good communication and IT skills
•Must be prepared to learn new skills as and when required
Principal Duties
•Pre-testing of coils, windings and associated equipment
•Dax rotor balancing
•Preparation of machines for running tests
•Testing of AC machines
•Testing of AVR's etc
•Fault finding
•Testing of auxiliary equipment associated with rotating machines
