The Test Project Engineer will have the ability to understand the engine build, preparation and test process plus an understanding of Engine dyno test requirements and procedures. To operate within a team of test engineers to ensure provision of adequate planning, instruction and monitoring of the progress of key tasks. The position involves the key task of assessing the engine build, preparation and test status on a daily basis and provides report out to manager's morning meeting. The position requires that key decisions taken at the manager's meeting are actioned and delivered. The position will report to a senior test engineer. Skills Required: Guide and instruct mechanics and electricians to assist with testing. Support the development and delivery of engine dyno tests. Test data analysis and feedback. To liaise with internal and external component and development engineers, and to advise on possible solutions to problems. To prepare detailed test procedures for standard or repetitive tests and draft proposed procedures for new or special tests. Design of test rigs and fixtures and/or other special equipment
Provide shift support to all engine test programs. Resolution of facility & program issues Experience Required: Automotive experience in build and test, and /or project management preferably in engine testing
MS Office (min Word & Excel) & Report Writing
Perform related duties as required Education Required: HNC/HND Minimum in Engineering Education Preferred: Relevant Engineering Degree
