Test & Approvals Engineer Product development - Buckinghamshire / Oxfordshire
This role requires a candidate who is capable of taking responsibility for Design Verification Testing and Regulatory Approvals Testing of complex RF products. The ideal candidate will have relevant knowledge of Telecoms products including amplifiers, filters, Phase Shifters and Antennas.
Typically products are required to be subjected to tests to meet FCC, CD and Safety standards for sales in to Europe and North america.Design Verification Testingo
A RF Test Engineer is required to perform ALL aspects of product testing to validate that products meet the technical specifications:
Design Verification Testing
System Testing
Environmental and HALT testing
Responsible for defining test plans, specifications and methodso Responsible for producing test reports inclusive of findings, recmondations and conlcusions.
Some off site working will be required e.g. for environmental test or to assist with regulatory approval testing and field trials.
Support of the deployed product during the early stages of product roll out will also be required.
Define schedules and priorities for multiple projects
Take a hands-on approach; he/she is expected to originate test methods to prove the product performs to specification.
Be capable of working with minimal support both on company and customer sites.
Such tasks may on occasions require extended working hours and travel in the UK or overseas
