Technician - required by this leading defence organisation based in Essex. There is currently have a vacancy for a Technician within the Spares and Repairs Team
Key responsibility areas:
Skilled low volume, high accuracy 'hands-on' refurbishment / assembly role. Able to accurately work to Engineering Drawings. Soldering and wiring skills to a recognised standard. Able to adapt to a wide range of 'one-off' mechanical / electrical assembly tasks. Continually working to Best Practise. Experience of refurbishing / repairing RF units an advantage. Able to work individually within a small dedicated 'Spares and Repairs' team.
The successful candidate will become a key member of a small team whose primary function is to maintain and refurbish a number of antenna units for the Royal Navy, all the necessary training will be provided. This is very much a hands-on role and the ideal candidate will need to be able to show a range of skills across a wide variety of assembly type tasks - mechanical/electrical assembly and soldering/wiring skills.
