Thames water are looking to recruit a Technician to provide support to the Network modelling team through data management and network data preparation which enables the team to deliver drainage area plans, which are a condition of the operating licence; regulatory outputs as part of AMP4 projects; PR09 submission; support to developer services regarding new developments, and to operations.
The role will involve the following:
•Provide support to the sewerage modelling team through data management and network data preparation;
•Understand sewerage network and mapping data extraction process.
• Extract and prepare data for use as requested.
•Understand the groups project data and model archive process.
•Undertake archiving and data retrieval as appropriate.
•Understand the rainfall data archive process.
•Undertake archiving and retrieval of data as requested Prepare data extracted from archive for network modelling. Assemble data.
•Basic preparation of catchment and other area data for network models
•Understand requirements of drainage area plans and source data and populate template. Identify gaps/improvements to data.
•Other data preparation, manipulation and digitisation as instructed Learn the TWUL ordering process- raise orders, both OPEX and CAPEX and mange records.
The ideal candidate will posses the following:
•Hydraulics/Hydrology and/or experience in an analytical/mathematical environment.
•Knowledge of sewerage systems.
•Experience in a technical role.
•Knowledge/Experience in the use of Geographical Information Systems (GIS) Mapping and/or geographical experience
