Description
Objective
Deliver a comprehensive range of technical and product knowledge programmes for AML internal and Dealer staff, both in the UK and Overseas markets as required
Also assist in the development and production of
technical information and materials for all programmes
Responsibilities
Be responsible for the technical accuracy of content, and safety of operations described in all training materials, which could have a direct bearing on warranty costs and product / legal liability, additionally for checking other service publications for technical consistency & accuracy
Train nominated Aston Martin employees on new systems, vehicles, special tools, diagnostics and methods and techniques in order that individuals are able to fulfil their respective roles efficiently, inline with heath and safety requirements
Be responsible for training Aston Martin franchised Dealer staff both in the UK and Overseas from the Company designated training facility
Be responsible at all times for the safety and discipline of delegates attending courses, wherever situated
Demonstrate in both practical and theoretical terms a wide range of electronic diagnostic test equipment and special tools emphasising the importance of using the correct techniques as a major factor in reducing warranty and servicing repair costs.
Supervise practical and theoretical work continually assessing individual delegate progress
Validate the standard of delegate knowledge attained and carry out associated procedures and record keeping
Feedback course critique assessments to the Technical Services & Product Training Manager.
Working in conjunction with the Technical Training Executives, maintain an up to date awareness of Health and Safety at Work Act, Environment Policy and Factory Acts with special reference to dangerous chemicals and equipment
Assist in the safekeeping of all vehicles, training aids and tools & equipment within the training environment, and where necessary recommend updating or replacement of old or obsolete items
Carry out Technician Assessments to the IMI Automotive Technician Accreditation (ATA) at Diagnostic & Master levels
Experience
Extensive knowledge of the Companys products plus an understanding of servicing and maintenance procedures is desirable, as well as possessing the ability to present and communicate at all levels
NVQ Level 3 Units C21/D32/D33/D36 (An advantage, but not necessary)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A full clean driving license is essential
Educated to Degree level (or recognised equivalent) + 2/3 years experience or equivalent experience in
the automotive industry
Proven record of Automotive Manufacturer based training presentation (Minimum 3yrs)
Hands on knowledge of Aston Martin vehicle systems (An advantage, but not necessary)
