Our client offers a wide range of specialised plastic card personalisation systems. With many years experience, and with customers across Europe, they offer a range of hi-quality retransfer and thermal printers to resellers and end users in the commercial market. They now have an opportunity for a Technical Support Engineer to join their team.

As a Technical Support Engineer you will be responsible for providing technical support to customers by analysing their issues and taking the appropriate action. Full training with the manufacturers will be provided.

Please note that this is not an IT support role.

Day to day you will deal with a range of queries with responsibilities including:

- answering incoming telephone queries and assisting clients with describing the issue
- problem elimination and proactively solving issues
- logging and maintaining all queries
- liaising with manufacturers on technical issues
- repairing machines if they are sent back to the office

This position will also involve occasionally travelling to, and installing equipment at customer sites, and assisting with customer training.

You do not have to have a vast amount of experience for the role, as our client will provide training, however if you do have previous experience it would be advantageous.

To succeed you must have a full driving licence.

You will also need first class communication and self management skills, along with strong problem solving ability and excellent timekeeping.
