Permanent Technical Superintendent Required to be based in Barrow.

The role of the Technical Superintendent is to ensure that Company owned or operated vessels perform in a safe, efficient and economical manner.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
o Budget preparation and monitoring
o Purchasing
o Invoice checking and signature
o Vessel performance
o Repairs Maintenance
o Dry Docking
o Ship Inspections
o Statutory and Classification Certification
o Ship Modifications
Authorised to approve expenditure to pre defined level within authorised budgets. Be responsible for those duties contained within the Company's Management System Manuals
The successful candidate may also be responsible for:
* Undertaking project work as required
* Assist in furtherance of damage claims
* Assist in Vessel sale/purchase inspections
Main Duties:
* Liaise with and support ship staff with respect to ship operation
* Liaise with purchasing with respect to purchasing
* Liaise with Marine Manager/Superintendent with respect to nautical, and or health, safety and environmental matters.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE.
* Department of Transport Class 2 (Motor) Certificate of Competency
