An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen for the position of technical sales engineer for a leading products and services company within the oil and gas industry.
The right candidate will have a good understanding of the oil and gas industry and experience in a technical position. Knowledge of analytical chemistry and laboratory techniques are advantageous. The technical sales engineer will be responsible for promoting the company's range of products and services to the North Sea and global marketplace.
Responsibilities:- To meet sales targets as agreed with Oil & Gas Sampling Manager.
-To achieve Sales department targets whilst working effectively with Finance, Operations, Engineering and QA departments.
-Ensure that sales documentation and records of all related activities are maintained as required according the Company Quality procedures.
-To successfully plan and prepare for each sales call by means of effective information, customer profiling and action plans.
-The production of clear and concise quotations with all relevant supporting documentation i.e. data sheets, drawings, photographs, user instructions.
-Plans objectives in line with company priorities taking into account Strategic Account Management and marketing activities.
-To assist with all marketing activities such as exhibitions, advertising, editorial and press releases as required.
-Assist Operations department with project scheduling as required.
Requirements:-HNC/ HND in subject which requires strong analytical skills, i.e applied physics, chemistry.
-Good understanding of the Oil and Gas industry
-Collection of pressurised Oil and gas samples i.e. separator, wellhead, fiscal. Knowledge of analytical chemistry and or PVT laboratory techniques.
-Ability to provide reports to management.
Salary:-30-35k basic (dependent on experience)
