A leading international electrical engineering organisation are currently looking to recruit a Technical Marketing Manager to join their team.

As Technical Marketing Manager your role will be to provide technical sales support and translate customer requirements into business/product requirements, you will work closely with engineering teams on tactical product developments and roadmap strategies . This is a largely customer facing role and will involve extensive travel across the UK and occasionally Europe. You will be involved identifying, developing and managing relationships throughout the supply chain to achieve success in the following areas:-
Securing and retaining specification of the company's core products for use in major projects
Ensuring the company is the recognised choice for electrical accessories in core markets
Working with the commercial team to achieve monthly objectives and ensure each specification leads to a profitable order
Supporting the commercial team to significantly improve performance in key account customers through joint visits, product training and presentations to Contractors/consultants
Working with the marketing department to drive new initiatives to improve product awareness of the company product range
Competitor/Market Analysis and data capture
Working with technical team to develop new products
Producing a detailed, rolling sales forecast based on specification selling activities and update monthly, in line with revenue objectives agreed with the Business Manager
Developing a range of selling tools to aid the sales teams in the UK and Export territories
Taking commercial ownership for the identification of New Product Development, and Product Evolution initiatives. Working with commercial, financial and engineering teams to ensure future market protection in line with business objectives
The successful applicant will be educated to degree level in an engineering or business discipline and will have a background gained within Technical Marketing, Product Management or similar roles. You should have experience gained within an engineering related industry with a proven track record of success and career advancement. you should also have excellent customer facing and interpersonal skills with a strong team working attitude. This role offers a salary of c.£40K
