TECHNICAL MANAGERS
INTELLIGENT TRANSPORT SYSTEMS
LONDON, BIRMINGHAM OR GREATER MANCHESTER
Opportunities now exist throughout the UK for Technical Managers to analyse, maintain and provide innovative solutions to utilise technology on the highways network. You will be required to monitor and report on the performance of the network against Key Performance Indicators, analyse system data to identify system degradation and reliability issues and recommend and business case for network improvements including resilience, reliability and innovation. You will also be responsible for the improvement of existing maintenance standards and process and the development of client relationships to identify improvements and additional project works.
As Technical Manager you should have extensive experience in technology maintenance requirements and specification, experience of network operations and liaison with maintaining contractors to facilitate repairs to technology infrastructure and experience of ITS communication networks deployed, including in-station and outstation technology, data addressing, and fault reporting methods.
You should be proficient in the interrogation of fault reporting and asset management databases, and have knowledge of a range of ITS technologies, proven project and financial management skills and knowledge of appropriate Health and Safety requirements, particularly the CDM regulations. You should also be confident in stakeholder liaison at all levels and have a good knowledge of Highways Agency/ local authority procedures/standards including DMRB and MCDHW.
