The Technical Manager will manage the Industrial design, development and associated functions within the Industrial Technical Department. To carry out effective planning and implementation of new product developments, and the enhancement, modification and support of existing products and applications.
Duties:
Manage the Industrial Technical Team
Source and manage sub contractors
Ensure that all products designed or supplied by the company are documented and comply with relevant standards and statutory requirements
Optimise Technical and contract resources to achieve agreed plans and adherence to agreed budgets.
Implement agreed targets of design specification including quality, performance, reliability and product cost.
Provide regular progress reports to the Product Manager including early warnings of any Technical, Time-scale or Cost problems.
Assist with the preparation and management of annual budgets and plans to achieve new product release based on the strategic requirements of the Industrial Division.
Ensure team members are competent to carry out their duties through regular performance review, training and development.
Hours 8.30 - 5.00 Monday to Friday
