Due to the continuing personal development of people within their business, our client is looking to employ a Technical/Maintenance Engineer for their Bristol site. This organisation is an international, multi-site business, which is regarded as an innovator of logistical solutions to a blue chip client base. They continually maintain their No.1 market position within the diverse manufacturing and support sectors they serve.
As the ideal candidate, you will be a qualified Electrical/Mechanical Engineer at a minimum of City and Guilds level and have 3 years experience of technical maintenance in a manufacturing environment, ideally with exposure to PLC systems. Already with a proven track record of consistent, reliable engineering maintenance, you will have experience in avoiding downtime by using Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), PPM or similar techniques. Dynamic and driven by results, you will be enthusiastic in meeting plant quality and waste targets while continuously striving to meet and exceed your own objectives.
The role is based within the Bristol plant and reports to the Engineering Manager. The Technical/Maintenance Engineer will resourcefully diagnose and effectively repair any breakdowns prior to failure to avoid downtime. You will complete root cause analysis of machinery problems and help implement preventive measures to avoid problem reoccurrence, while ensuring machinery runs efficiently and meets the plants high quality, quantity and safety requirements. You will contribute and drive process improvement within the plant and actively participate in your continuous personal development.
