Technical Publications Manager required for this defence company to produce designs, drawings and documentation for projects required by the equipment business primarily using Autocad or the Autodesk suite of programmes. The successful candidate will be required to undergo an MOD security check - all candidates meet security clearance criteria for this role.
The role will be based in Essex and is commutable from East London, Epping, Brentwood and Rainham.
Responsibilities:
To assist the quotations provided by the Sales team with system drawings. Provide sets of documentation for projects in support of Sales. Provide 3D modelling of bridges and consoles in co-operation with animations and stills in support of Sales. To have an understanding of IMO regulations for system design. Provide assistance and support to the Systems Group engineers. Use and update the systems drawings database. Technical awareness of third party equipment and products. Evaluate key benefits of modern ECAD applications in relationship to the above tasks. Identify and achieve timescales for projects as required by the equipment business. Technical drawing liaison within and outside the company with customers, suppliers and collaborators. Working closely with the Systems Group engineers. Liaising with the Sales team with graphical imagery sales tools when required. Working closely with the console manufacturers on console design matters. Produce customer manuals and other documentation utilising print room equipment on an occasional basis as determined by business requirements. Ensuring that all requirements on security and health and safety under his/her control are dealt with as specified in company procedures.
