An excellent opportunity for a TEST (Technical Engineering Support Team) Manager working across 4 sites in the Middlesex area for a major Facilities Services Company.
Purpose:
To develop and lead the TEST in order to ensure full support to the contract and the client in all aspects of technical guidance, support and continuous improvement.
To add value to the service delivery and lead and assist in continuous improvement of the clients engineering infrastructure and in order to improve efficiency and maintain resilience.
Dimensions:
Responsible for line management of the TEST members the TEST Manager should also be prepared to take an active 'hands on role' and will ideally be qualified to AE level in one of the core disciplines.
Principle Accountabilities:
>Responsible for coordination of the activities of the TEST. Including though not limited to such disciplines as Electrical (HV&LV), Pressure Systems, Confined Spaces, Water System, Clinical Engineering etc
>To ensure that the TEST is available at all times to give guidance and support on all matters technical with regards to current statutory and legal compliance in an engineering environment.
>To ensure that the TEST is available at all times to give guidance and support with regards to clinically biased engineering, compliant with the requirements of the leading regulatory authorities FDA, MHRA etc.
>Develop relationships with key site and client contacts in order to maximise the impact of the TEST and to ensure maximum interaction, efficient effectiveness and ultimate success at all times.
>Endeavour to attend wherever possible site Team Brief's. Attendance at Contract Safety and Quality Meetings and Contract Monthly Meetings is mandatory.
>Maintain comprehensive records of all TEST involvement at all levels in order to make available at any time recent activity and ultimate feasibility of the TEST.
>Carry out all Line Management duties associated with subordinate members of the TEST. Including but not limited to Annual Appraisals, Taking of Regular Team Briefs and 1 to 1's, responsibility for Training and Development Plans, responsible for Sickness and Holiday reporting etc, and all other duties conducive to the running of an effective and efficient team.
Qualifications and Experience:
>Ideally educated to degree level in an industrial engineering discipline. Relevant working experience in lieu of qualifications will be considered on an individually assessed basis
>HNC/D educated in a relevant engineering discipline
>Professional Membership of a relevant body i.e. IEE, IME desirable
>Must have relevant experience in a similar role in an engineering environment
>Must have knowledge of clinical and/or pharmaceutical support systems and their implementation
>Must possess a full and valid driving licence in compliance with company driving guidelines
