Thames Water are looking to recruit a Technical Assistant whose responsibility will involve the following
•Provision of experienced technical and operational advice and guidance to sewage treatment project teams
•Act as a link between capital delivery and operations in establishing company standards
•Assess the suitability of new technology and equipment
•Provide assistance to operational events
•Provide assistance to the development of PR09
The role will give a unique opportunity for an experienced engineer to contribute their extensive knowledge and experience to positively influence the technical content of sewage treatment projects with the objective of providing assets that represent value for money both at purchase and through their operating life.
The role will involve the following:
•Input knowledge and experience into waste water treatment projects
•Mentor and guide less experienced staff
•Provide general operational advice to project teams
•Provide technical input into company standards etc.
•Assist in the review of new technologies and equipment
•Support operational events as required
•Support the development of the PR09 Strategic Business Plan as requested
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:
•Engineering background
•Knowledge of waste water technologies
•Detailed knowledge or experience of waste water treatment operations
•Knowledge of Thames standards and assets
