This is an exciting opportunity to join a well established engineering company based in Lincoln. Due to continued expansion they are looking to recruit an experienced Technical Buyer/Expeditor.
This is a stand alone role where your main function will be sourcing and purchasing parts for the manufacture of Open Cast Mining machinery.
The successful candidate will have proven experience within the following areas:
Reading engineering drawings of large industrial machinery
Ability to spec out projects to new suppliers and make decisions of who to use
Project managing own workload
Direct communication and relationship building with suppliers
Obtaining costs and delivery schedules
Resolving technical issues and queries
It is essential that you should have a technical and engineering background including knowledge of engineering standards and possess good all round communication and IT skills.
Hours of work are 08:00 - 16:15 Mon, Tues, Wed and 08:00 - 16:00 Thurs and Fri.
