Description
Our Client packages and distributes Branded pharmaceuticals, OTC medicines and next-generation vaccine products throughout the world. Operating on behalf of three major brand names, the manufacturing output extends to 300 product lines at their 26 acre, state of the art manufacturing facility in Hampshire. They have the immediate requirement for a Technical Author to write and revise functional standard operating procedures and change controls.

They have the immediate requirement for a Technical Author to write and revise functional standard operating procedures and change controls. Candidates will have experience writing technical documents in a regulated and technical industry. A knowledge of Graphic and or CAD is preferred.
Job Role Summary:
The Technical Author will be responsible for writing and revising functional Standard Operating Procedures and Change Controls (CCs) with guidance from the Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), along with revising and controlling documentation for the FE Department. The job holder will be expected to liaise with personnel and other Subject Matter Experts to develop content and translate that content to official procedures. You will work closely with GMP documentation personnel to establish relevant Standard Operating Procedures and be responsible for transfer of the ongoing maintenance of procedures to process owners across the site. The Technical Author will have the required Engineering qualification to be able to translate Technical Documentation from many sources into Engineering operational manuals. They will be the system owner of the Engineering technical library.
Responsibilities:
•Gather requirements for procedures and create, develop, and/or revise departmental SOPs, CCs and other technical documents by converting technical descriptions into user-understandable language. This person will be expected to liaise with subject matter experts from various sources in order to develop content and translate that content to official procedures and the creation of Engineering manuals and guides.
•Assist Department SME in writing Training plans, presentations, and assessments with guidance from process SMEs.
•Track and coordinate SOPs, CCs and other documentation within the department during the document lifecycle; facilitate completion of documents to meet specified timelines. Be the system owner for the Department technical library in both hard and electronic systems.
•Act as Standard Operating Procedure coordinator for FE and administratively be responsible for their distribution, retrieval, and archiving within the department.
•Provide input for performance metrics regarding number of documents drafted, edited, reviewed and approved on a routine basis as requested by the FE Electrical and Compliance manager.
