The team will be based at the Assystem office in Bristol.
Role
The technical assistant will:
1.Support the team leader in monitoring the progress of individual tasks and overall team performance. This will include the production of statistics for monthly progress meetings with the customer.
2.Liaise with the customer to obtain technical drawings, specifications and other data as necessary.
3.Address simple technical queries to customer specialists on behalf of the Assystem team.
4.Expedite the circulation of data packs within the customers organisation.
Skills
The technical assistant will need a mix of technical and administrative skills. Knowledge of gas turbine engineering would be an advantage. The candidate should be competent in use of MS Office and, after minimal training, should be able to access engineering CAD and PDM systems in order to identify and retrieve technical data.
The candidate will work at both Assystem and customers sites. It is therefore essential that the candidate has a full UK driving licence and use of their own car. Travel expenses will be paid.
The candidate will be dealing with senior engineering personnel. Good team skills, effective written and verbal communication abilities and an energetic approach to work will be important.
Security
The successful candidate must be eligible to obtain UK MoD security clearance.
