Technical Application Engineer - North East

To assist on a daily basis the development of company products by investigating, designing, and securing profitable business as well as product problem solving.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Dealing with special customer enquiries including requirement for non-standard company products.

Dealing with customers, suppliers and customer services and external Sales Representatives on primarily capacitance clearance measurement equipment but also other products (temperature measurement, leak detection, heating) to provide costing and Technical advice
Liaise with production, primarily on orders for special enquiries including development of new production techniques
Authoritative signature for product and process non-conformances
Computer Aided Design (CAD) responsibilities as and when necessary
Producing reports on new, old, and in progress enquiries current status
Undertaking ERP maintenance to the system.
Assist quality on closure of external complaints and internal non-conformances

EDUCATION/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Required:
Educated to HND/degree level in an Engineering qualification (preferably Mechanical or Electrical)
At least two years experience working within an engineering environment
Experience of using an ERP software package
Ability to interpret information and produce reports
Demonstrable experience of using initiative and working to deadlines as well as being target driven
Previous experience of using CAD/Auto CAD applications (preferably 3D CAD)

Preferred:
Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary role
Experience of working within a manufacturing environment
Experience of using Microsoft Office word processing and spreadsheet packages.
