Functional Test Engineer required to assist in defining, implementing and maintaining test solutions for product introduction and updates to existing test solutions. The ideal candidate will help to ensure that the test solution is repeatable and reliable and provides maximum test coverage, system test times are checked, and assist in the production line layout.
The role will involve leading team members in solving technical and manufacture related issues as well as providing technical direction to the product debug technicians to ensure the requirements of the production test process are met at all times.
You will be expected to manage and coach technicians to support new product introduction and existing products in manufacturing. Assist in resource planning to support manufacturing output targets. Develop and enhance development tools available to the Test Engineering Department. Liaise with customers and drive forward test improvements.
Improve process yields and efficiencies and analyse Customer Returns to improve existing test approach as well as resolve issues arising in manufacturing.
NPI activities include the development and management of test strategy for new product introduction (NPI)
Use of tools such as CEDAC, FMEA and other analysis tools would be advantageous.
