Excellent opportunities now exist for Systems, RF, Hardware, Antenna and Processor Engineers to join this leading, state of the art technology company which is a global leader in the design and manufacture of satellite systems. They are now seeking a number of Systems, RF, Hardware, Antenna and Processor Engineers to be based at their sites in Stevenage and Portsmouth.
Galileo Mission Segment Systems Engineers, Portsmouth Your role will include activities such as preparation of technical specifications and design documents for Galileo Mission Segment elements. There will also be the possibility of a secondment in France working on a variety of ground segment systems engineering activities with specific emphasise on system architecture and interfaces. Degree level or equivalent in a science, engineering or mathematics discipline, you will have proven work experience in either aerospace, defence, telecoms or navigation systems preferably in space systems ground segment engineering. Specific experience in GPS, EGNOS or Galileo programmes would be an advantage.
Digital Systems Engineers, Portsmouth You will provide technical expertise in support of system engineering for digital command and control systems and digital and analogue signal processing ensuring a high degree of engineering competence and excellence. HNC/Degree level qualified in Electronics Engineering or equivalent, you will ideally have knowledge of spacecraft command and control, Matlab and DSP design. Experience in digital systems/digital signal processing design and analysis is required.
GNC Architect, Stevenage You will manage the GNC system on a major new spacecraft project in the UK. You will be responsible for the full spacecraft GNC system design, development and implementation and will be expected to undertake management tasks to lead the team. With a Masters in Space Engineering or relevant discipline, you will hold technical skills in GNC/AOCS design and verification. Synthesis skills are required (technical and planning) and ideally you will have strong programming skills in Matlab/Simulink.
Ground Segment System Engineers (Networks), Portsmouth You will be supporting the network management and co-ordination of network design activities which includes technical issues associated with design and implementation of the networks. Ideally you will have proven experience in Ground Systems Engineering with a good theoretical and design background in network communications. You will need to demonstrate an overall excellent technical ability, ideally coupled with management experience at customer and contractor level.
Ground Control System RF Systems Engineer, Portsmouth You will be involved in the management and update of space to ground link budgets as well as supporting supplier management team in technical areas of RF systems analysis review. Ideally, qualified to degree level or equivalent you will be highly motivated self-starter with sufficient capability and flexibility to support the system engineering team specialists. You must be willing to travel within Europe for short durations of time.
Hardware Engineers, Stevenage You will be involved in detailed electronic design activities for a range of satellite equipment. With a strong understanding of electrical and electronic engineering fundamentals, you will have knowledge and experience of digital circuit design including combinational, sequential, algorithmic, synchronous and asynchronous circuits.
Lead Payload Product Development Engineers, Stevenage/Portsmouth You will be required to lead and support satellite payload design activities in the field of telecommunications. You will be involved in technical proposal writing, payload design and analysis in support of commercial bids and early design phase activities and work package management. ONC/OND/Degree level qualified in a relevant discipline, you will have the ability to generate innovative solutions and communicate them.
Lead Payload RF Systems Engineers, Portsmouth You will lead the RF Systems Engineering on communications payloads and carry out/support related tasks, encompassing payload system design and analysis, specification and definition of hardware, payload system integration and liaison with customer representatives. ONC/OND/Degree level qualified or equivalent in a relevant discipline, you will have a proven track record in RF communications systems or equipments.
Processor Systems Engineers, Stevenage You will carry out a variety of tasks and problem solving activities related to onboard digital processing within satellite processors for communications, navigation and science missions. The tasks will be largely analytical and R&D related. Ideally degree level qualified or equivalent in Physics, Maths or Electronic Engineering; specific experience in digital processing is desirable but not essential.
