Our client is a Global business and a major player in the field of control systems engineering for the Oil and Gas sectors they are highly regarded for their product range and project delivery and their engineers are reputed to be amongst the strongest and highly skilled in the industry.
Due to internal growth they are now seeking service engineers to support processing sites based in Scotland.
The responsibilities involve the provision of both planned and remedial support of all Instrumentation, Control Systems and Telecommunications systems this includes maintaining, fault finding and repairing as required on all Instrumentation, F&G, SCADA, PLC, Relay Logic, Radio, Networking, Process, ESD and Control Systems under the direction of the Systems Team Leader.
Ideally the engineer will be familiar with DCS (Hardware Installation / Configuration), Instrumentation PC Configuration, Fire & Gas / Emergency Shut Down (ESD) and PLC systems whilst working to the most stringent and highest safety quality standards.
Electronics and PC software capabilities are also required and preference will be given to engineers who can demonstrate familiarity with Ladder Logic and Experion (DCS) Programming languages.
This varied role requires a problem solver who possesses both mechanical and electrical engineering capabilities and due to the nature of the role engineers must be available to travel and work offshore.
