Opportunities have arisen for Systems Engineers to join our client as they continue to grow their presence in India. Our client has secured a position for themselves as a principal international provider of trusted consultancy services, and now need Systems Engineers to join their team to help their clients to bring the airport industry in India into the 21st Century.
Systems Engineer/System Analyst Aviation (India Based, 3 Year Project)
£45,000 - £50,000 + Excellent Benefits and Relocation Assistance
Our client is currently focusing on the provision of airport operational IT Systems consultancy for airport development projects in India. The Systems Engineer will work as part of a specialist consultancy team supporting their clients through complete airport development projects. These positions will require successful candidates to work and live in India for this 3 year airport development project.
As part of the team you will take responsibility for one or more systems in the following areas:
- Undertaking requirement analysis for each system
- Developing and publishing tender specifications for each system
- Reviewing responses to system tenders and making recommendations for procurement
- Monitoring and reviewing the supplier development process
- Overseeing system testing from stand alone through to the integrated environment
- Overseeing and ensuring configuration management of changes throughout the lifecycle
- Supporting the operational testing and transition to operations of your system(s)
To succeed, you will have a good Engineering degree (or equivalent) probably in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering or Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
The Systems Engineer must also have knowledge and extensive experience in one of the following operational streams:
- BMS / SCADA Systems BSI and BHS
- Communications Networks LANs, WANs, WLANs, Telephony (VoIP and PABX), MATV, TMR
With your ability and desire to live and work in India, as a Systems Engineer you must also have experience in the following:
- system design and development
- specification preparation
- tender preparation and evaluation
- interface design
- test and acceptance processes
- commissioning and hand-over
It would be desirable to our client if you possess knowledge and awareness of the airport or aviation industry; experience on large scale infrastructure development projects; and/or you have membership in a recognised engineering or project management professional body.
