Description
Our client a world leader in developing and manufacturing automotive electronics are looking for a hardware engineer to design, development and validation of cost-effective automotive and adjacent market.
Main Responsibilities and Tasks:
•Day-to-day co-ordination with other design team members, including Hardware, Mechanical and Software, and liaison, where required, with outsourced Validation and Manufacturing partners.
•Supporting developing technical proposals including estimating in support of new business wins.
•Supporting and executing cost-effective automotive systems designs. These designs will be suitable for volume manufacture or prototyping as applicable and delivered to agreed timing, cost and quality targets.
•Performing design activities including (but not limited to): requirements capture and analysis, specification writing, system modelling and analysis, calibration, HAZOP / FMEA, robustness and reliability analysis, validation testing, test and engineering report writing, and documentation.
•Interfacing with the customers engineering team where required.
•Ensuring that design tasks are executed in accordance with internal and customer quality/process requirements.
Technical Skills/Experience
•BSc or equivalent in Engineering, Physics or related field.
•>2 years of experience in automotive product development or related field.
•You will need a minimum of 1 year experience of working with automotive quality systems (TS16949, QS9000, and NPI processes or ISO9001.
•Strong analytical and problem solving skills (familiar with 8D or equivalent process)
