A leading broadcast house is seeking a systems engineer to be responsible for all technical aspects to first project implementation of both standard and bespoke end to end system solutions.
A leading broadcast house is seeking a systems engineer to be responsible for all technical aspects to first project implementation of both standard and bespoke end to end system solutions.
You will be required:
To actively support project teams, providing in depth technical knowledge of products and interfaces and operation of third party equipment.
To travel to assist with third party integration on site.
To provide in depth technical support to pre-sales, sales, project management and customer support.
To take responsibility for the initial test and debug of new 3rd party products to be added to the company portfolio
To document/design standard system architectures/test procedures with third party systems.
To initiate and promote good relationships with third party vendors, and support system product managers with advice on technical solutions and integration testing.
To feed back into engineering detailed fault reports, assist with further investigation, and track issues to resolution.
To provide training and documentation to other technical departments within the company.
To keep up to date knowledge of new industry developments, both internal and external.
To support in customer demonstrations and industry shows.
Required Skills:
Skills:
Either :
Educated to a minimum of degree level in Electronic/Electrical Engineering or Computer Science related subject
Or proven professional experience in related fields
Involvement in, or strong awareness of, the fields of broadcasting or digital communications
Experience in some or all of Windows, Oracle, Linux, Networking, Test Director/Bugzilla
Software development skills desirable
General:

Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of company organisations, both external and internal.
Musts:
Valid passport and Driving License
Willingness to undertake international travel, sometimes at short notice, and if required work unsociable hours.
